Effects Papaya Punch

While its unique and fruity flavour profile is already appealing, the effects of Papaya Punch #2 are rather alluring in itself. The strain is actually recognized for its nicely balanced combination of sativa and indica effects. Like any great sativa strain, it offers users feelings of happiness and fits of giggles, making it a good choice to share amongst friends or if you struggle with social settings. It also induces a boost of energy, so would be perfect for day time usage, including mornings for a wake and bake. This characteristic helps with those struggling with fatigue throughout the day, and the strain may even alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression due to its uplifting nature. THC Content

Papaya Punch #2 has been tested to measure at 20% THC on average but can reach upwards of 23%-25% for some batches. Cultivated by Oni Seeds, the strain is a 50%:50% indica/sativa hybrid, but in terms of genetics and effects is considered indica leaning. Its parent, Purple Punch, is an indica-dominant hybrid (crossed between Larry OG and Granddaddy Purple) that averages 18%-20% in THC but also typically has 1% CBD, whereas Papaya, also a well-balanced 50/50 hybrid (made by crossing Citral and Ice) ranges at 20%-25%, and also has 1% CBN content rather than CBD. With such a strong indica lineage, it is surprising that the sativa effects in this one are still so strong and effective, making Papaya Punch #2 all the more unique!

Appearance & Aroma

The nugget-like buds of Papaya Punch #2 are a pale, minty green, decorated with a frosty layer of trichomes and yellowish-orange or golden-amber pistils that are reminiscent of the inside of a fresh papaya! It truly honours its name with its papaya aroma and flavours which are accented by hints of tropical pineapples. Though, just like its predecessor, the strain is deliciously berry and grape-like with notes of cheese as well; pack this in a bowl and you’ve got yourself a bowl of fruit punch!

Taste is subtler than I hoped but still very nice, fruity and earthy. Where this bud really shines is the high, it's really pleasant and balanced for a daytime, and felt to me like 50/50 or sativa dominant perhaps, but in a very relaxed way, I don't think it's the absolute most potent flower out there, but that's not a knock on it- it's the perfect combo of uplifting and relaxing.
