King Louis XIII

King Louis XIII is a highly sought Southern California indica strain that’s brewing up a storm in the cannabis industry. This impeccable indica strain is named after a 17th Century French ruler. Because of its amazing royal lineage, this is truly a royal top-shelf flower. As an offspring of OG Kush strain and popular LA Confidential strain, King Louis XIII is quick-acting, and potent. It is incredibly rare to find outside of Los Angeles, but we have searched far and wide to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to try this legendary strain.

Effects

King Louis is a heavily incapacitating strain that will knock you out. Results for laboratory tests done on this indica strain are quite impressive. King Louis boasts average THC levels ranging from 20-26%. The high and characteristics of this strain are very happy and relaxed in nature. A people’s favourite, it is very stimulating in nature and is revered as an upbeat indica. The effects are dynamic and begins by lulling users into a sense of utter relaxation. Eventually the high transitions into a familiar, sedating, OG Kush-esque body buzz. All the while, the high is also stimulating, euphoric and generally upbeat. King Louis XIII is excellent for the alleviation of stress, pain, depression and insomnia.

Appearance

King Louis XIII features dense, lime green buds coated with a crisp layer of resinous trichomes. Dense nuggets are dotted liberally with orange hairs, and it is a sure treat for the eyes. The buds are highly resinous and therefore need to be handled carefully. The scent of these buds is a musky pine, with rich earthiness and a hint of skunk and diesel. The taste of this strain is a crisp, refreshing citrus with tinges of skunk and diesel, much like the smell suggests. The smoke can prove harsh on the throat.

Aroma & Flavour

The features of King Louis XIII are extraordinary – fluorescent lime green leaves wrap around round, dense buds. Dense buds are blanketed and entirely covered by resinous THC trichomes. This is very exotic and luxurious and above all other characteristics is its unforgettable scent. The intense gas-like and diesel tones of this earthy indica are very appealing and they blend carefully with sweet undertones. The smell is almost overwhelmingly pungent and can quickly fill up a room in the matter of seconds. Prepare for an extremely smooth smoke that burns crisp white and a gas-like, citrusy undertones.

I figured I’d pay extra to try something different but discovered that it’s nothing special and overpriced at the $140/oz price tag. This particular strain should be sold in the $79/oz category.

    The full priced bags I have tried were good enough for me to order myself, but I was sorely disappointed.

    Prematurely cut, poorly flushed and cured. It became potent and more tasty after being jarred for over two months, but I am firmly in the never order this strain on sale boat.

    The full price strain is a good smoke with good taste. Nothing to write home about, but connoisseurs should at least order this once to cross it off your list. The genetics scream order me.

    Some strains just aren't liked by certain people. I've never enjoyed God Bud, Orange/tangerine, Headband strains. On the other hand always enjoyed Haze, Blueberry, Train wreck strains etc. I got this part of the half oz deal and it was by far the weakest and least favourite strain from the four I got. It isn't my first time trying this strain and It's disappointed every time. On the other hand the buds seem very well grown and it definitely looks high end. A lot of people seem to like this bud so it might be great if you try it but not a personal favourite for me.

    This last round has certainly been a tiny notch lower in quality than some of the KL shipping in the 3rd & 4th quarter of 2019. I am glad the strain remains consistently available, but I hope the mad scientists growing it can pay a little closer attention to the process next round. Still a fantastic indica that I would recommend any evening of the week!

    I’ve had king Louis before it is 1 of my favourite strains but this king Louis isn’t super dank smelling until you bust up the nug and then even the smell isn’t similar to the king Louis I tried and I honestly the bud I got don’t match the pic it has way more red hairs on it then this bud here in the pic when u first smell it kinda smells like mendo breath and don’t have the sour smell skunky hint of pine smell isn’t super pungent ! Just had a bowl of it no taste usually the taste sits there on your tongue and it’s sweet ! Like I said bud don’t match the pic

    The bag appeal is immediate with beautiful, well-trimmed buds and a pungent, heady aroma that fills the room. The odor while smoking is decidedly skunky but the taste is actually quite mellow with no harshness.

    The effect is a bit of a creeper, really coming on strong a good 10 minutes after smoking. It's strong weed! You'll probably think twice before lighting up that 2nd spliff.

    Taste/Smell: 5/5 Absolutely amazing pungent, gassy, skunky kush smell & taste, with a hint of sweetness. Doesn't get any better IMO.
    Look: 4/5 Doesn't exactly jump out at you or look terribly special. I like the darker green tone and silver accents but it's nothing too crazy.
    High: 5/5 I can see why this is a popular LA strain. It's a perfect social high that leaves you feeling very happy/content and upbeat but not in the 'energetic' way of a sativa, it's hard to explain. Long-lasting high and doesn't cause major drowsiness either which probably also plays into its popularity, especially in hotter climates. Highly recommended! I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this strain.

Terpenes, alkaloids, whatever... doesn't matter - this WORKS if you're looking to get some sleep or in my case some true relief from panic and severe/profound generalized anxiety. Or just sweating like a freak in the morning. This STOPS all of it. Sometimes a Sativa will do similar (ATF!) ... but Indica? THIS is THE indica that works.
